I picked up this e-book after a referral from a friend and I was pleasantly surprised and engaged by the story. The book follows Garvey, a post-apocalyptic true warrior in the barren New York City that's been divided by clan and territorial wars. Bloody, realistic, with depictions of love, battles and life after large scale devastation, I was kept on the edge of my seat until the very last page. I look forward to reading more from this new author.Product details

I enjoyed reading this book and you will too if you are a fan of action and realism. The book gives a very detailed look at a word that is like our own but at the same time very different. Myself being born and raised in NYC found the imagery very powerful and not to give anything away, things have 'CHANGED". The story doesn't pull it's punches and that is one of the reasons that it is so good. You will feel the weight of the world in this story and that might be an difficult load to bare.
I highly recommend this book to anybody who enjoys a great story about overcoming the trials and tribulations in a world set against you. It reminded me of the television show "Revolution" but even better. A great post-apocalyptic story with very unique action scenes like nothing I've read before. I can't wait to read the next book about Garvey and his legacy. Reminded me of Conan the barbarian/destroyer as well. I hope to never experience a world like this but if I do I hope to follow a man like Garvey! Great story.
So after reading this book I am really impressed. It was written in such a way that always kept me satisfied. The action parts were very enjoyable especially with the non-standard weaponary. The pacing was excellent with the perfect mix of action, suspense and key information which always leaves you wanting to find out what's going to happen next and keeps you guessing. I can really see this becoming a movie and hopes a studio picks this up. I really hope there is a sequel not to give the ending away because I WANT MORE!!!!!
Some spelling errors but the story flowed well and was exciting. Looking forward to the sequel. Expect the series could be a top seller.
